What is ReEnergy Africa's Role?

ReEnergy Africa provides knowledge about what is happening now in the renewable energy sector and how the latest trends will impact Africa's future developments. We offer an open forum to discuss how to make the renewable energy future happen across sectors and disciplines.

SDG 7 Advocacy

ReEnergy Africa is focused on extending the conversations through advocacy on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 7. We achieve this through seminars, workshops and conferences. In addition, ReEnergy Africa strives to work with relevant stakeholders towards promoting and advocating for clean and sustainable energy access in Africa.

Projects and Finance

ReEnergy Africa understands that to provide renewable energy solutions, technical and financing support is vital. Therefore, we provide proposal development support, advice on financing and business plan development, intermediary support for finance through grant and debt sourcing and insights into regulatory structures across African nations.

Capacity Building Development

Equipping a green economy is paramount to African nations meeting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 7. ReEnergy Africa supports capacity building development in Africa through workshops, training and providing learning support materials.

Data, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning

Sustainable energy access in Africa is transiting at a tremendous rate. To keep a track record of this journey for inclusivity and transparency, we support Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning projects by providing post-project assessments and reporting, data analytics and project management across renewable energy projects in Africa

What We Support

UN SDG 7

The bedrock of ReEnergy Africa is focused on promoting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 7.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) introduced by the United Nations in 2015 set out to end global poverty, protect the planet and ensure peace and prosperity by 2030. The SDG comprises 17 goals, each integrated to promote social, economic and environmental sustainability. #Envision2030

ReEnergy Africa's goal is to accelerate the future of sustainable energy across Africa by promoting Sustainable Development Goal 7.

The SDG 7 Goals Targets by 2030

7.a

Enhance international cooperation to facilitate access to clean energy research and technology, and promote investment in energy infrastructure and clean energy technology.

7.b

Expand infrastructure and upgrade technology for supplying modern and sustainable energy services for all in developing countries, particularly least developed countries, small island developing states, and land-locked developing countries, according to their respective programmes.

7.1

Ensure universal access to affordable, reliable and modern energy services.

7.2

Increase substantially the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix.

7.3

Double the global rate of improvement in energy efficiency.

Let’s Build Something Together

We are currently looking for IPP companies in Africa with a pipeline of matured projects for Isolated and Interconnected Mini-Grids, and currently sourcing for grant and debt to reach financial close and scale their project implementation.

We achieve this through curating compelling stories on energy access, building a community for collaboration and bridging concepts for renewable energy solutions in Africa .
